It has become pretty apparent that Micromax is going to launch a new flagship device on May 6. The domestic vendor has just begun its teaser campaign on Twitter, hinting that the device launch is just around the corner.
Micromax's Twitter handle has posted a teased image with cryptic phrases - ‘The smartest thing is on its way. Mark your calendar - 6 May 2015'.
Although there are no details available for the supposed flagship handset at the moment, there are speculations that the speculated phone could be the legitimate successor to the original Canvas Knight, which made its debut in the beginning of 2014.
Based on the report posted on Micromax Canvas.co.in, Micromax will launch a new flagship handset under its Canvas series. And most importantly the forthcoming handset will be the company's first phone to feature LTE connectivity.
To be called the Canvas Knight 2, the device will reportedly feature a 5-inch 720p AMOLED HD display, 1.5GHz Octa Core processor, 2GB of RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera and 16GB of on-board storage.

According to reports, there are no exact dates when the device will be released to the public, but there are predictions that it will happen in the second week of May 2015.
