The MWC trade show begins next month in Barcelona and Microsoft will hold a press event on March 2. Microsoft's official invitation says "Come along for the ride: Mobile World Congress, 2-5 March 2015, Barcelona". Well, that's not enough of a hint, there's also a drawing of a giant hot air balloon in the backdrop.
If the rumours are correct, Microsoft is going to unveil a slew of smartphones at the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech show, including the successor to the Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320.
According to an event schedule, the press conference will begin at 8:30 CET on March 2, so Microsoft still has come time before it unravels new devices next month. It is the same day when Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S6 and its dual edged screen version, the S Edge.
Back in December 2014, it was reported that Microsoft might unveil the successor to the Lumia 1320. According to the report, the Lumia 1330 will feature a 5.7-inch HD screen, Snapdragon 400 processor, 4G LTE, a 14-megapixel rear facing camera, a 5-megapixel front facing shooter, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. It is expected to feature Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 out of the box.
While nothing is official so far regarding the Lumia 1320 successor, some leaks and reports have tried to paint a picture of what to expect. At the same time, there's a chance to see a repackaged version of the Lumia 830 with a 5-inch display, a Snapdragon 400 processor and an 8.7MP PureView camera.
More information should surface closer to launch and we'll make sure to keep you up to date as soon as we hear more.
