Moto E and Moto Maxx Started Getting Lollipop 5.0 Update

Here's some good news for Moto Maxx and Moto E users. As promised, Motorola company is expanding its Android 5.0, Lollipop updates to two more devices in the market. The company has started rolling out Lollipop update for Moto Maxx with soak testing in Brazil and Mexico and for Moto E in Brazil and India.

Moto Maxx and Moto E will receive the first update, which is bought at retail store. According to the company, "we're starting by rolling out the upgrade to smaller test groups, and if the results are strong, we will expand the software to more phones".

Moto E users, can prepare for the upgrade by making sure you have the latest version of Motorola Update Services from the Play Store.

Anyhow, both the Moto G versions have already received the update, including the second-generation Moto X. The original Moto X is still waiting though, it turns out that unique chipset is slowing things down.

On the other hand, Lollipop updates comes with new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI design, refreshing notification system. It allows the users to see the notification in the lock screen and heads up notification are displayed like banners on the top of the screen.

Additionally, there is do-not-disturb feature also added in the notification bar. This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian which tracks the battery consumption by the apps.
