After the tremendous success of the Moto G and Moto E, Motorola is planning to release a premium handset, likely to be a successor to the sleeper hit Moto X. Dubbed the Moto X+1, the forthcoming phone is rumored to arrive sometime in late August, as per the latest rumor.
Unfortunately, there are no confirmed details available because the company has yet to announce the handset. Now once again, some more info about the device comes in the form of a press shot, all thanks to a leak posted by serial Twitter leaker @evleaks.
As you can see from the image above, the alleged press shot of the Moto X+1 covered with a case on it. Notably, the phone protector ensures that you never get to determine what device you're looking. At the same time, there are certain things which make us hard to find the authenticity of the leaked press shot.
The image appears to be of the Motorola Moto E, instead of the upcoming Moto X+1. The lack of a front facing camera, plus missing LED Flash raises more questions about how genuine the press shot is. Of course, this could be a fake image, so we advise you to take this rumor with a pinch of salt.
The aging Moto X is already in a brink of extinction, so Motorola fans have been anxiously waiting for the next-generation device that could give tough competition to the Samsung Galaxy S5.
The Moto X+1 is said to arrive any time soon. On the specifications side, it will come with a 5-inch 1080p Full HD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, amongst others. The phone will run on Android 4.5 mobile OS.
When will the new Moto X+1 launch? And what features and specifications can we expect? Today, we bring you the latest speculation about the forthcoming Moto X+1. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
Earlier this month, Punit Soni, VP, Product Management, Motorola Mobility, posted a screenshot of his phone. Basically, he was talking about the new Motorola Android 4.4.3 update feature that allows the carrier name to be displayed in the status bar. He posted a screenshot from his phone to demonstrate the feature on Google+ and his followers realized that the resolution of the image was Full HD (1080p). Since Motorola doesn't have a phone featuring FHD display, since then the new lead had been used to speculate the coming of the Moto X+1.
American-handset manufacturer is expected to launch a new smartphone, dubbed the Moto X+1. This new mysterious handset is being hailed as a legitimate successor to the original Moto X. The leaked information comes from notorious leaker @evleaks. The tweet appears to be a logo for the Moto X successor.
Not long ago, Twitter leaker @evleaks had claim that the Moto X+1 will come with a variety of rear back covers to choose from. The leather back cover will include Black, Red, Grey and Blue, while the wooden finish will include Teak, Bamboo, Rosewood, and Ebony. The warm colors include Red, Orange, Lemon Lime, Violet, Crimson, Raspberry, Cabernet, while the neutral colors include Slate, Purple, Smoke, Black, and Chalk. The cool colors, on the other hand, include Navy, Turquoise, Olive, Royal Blue and Dark Teal.
The newly leaked image (via TK News Tech) in particular suggests that the Moto X+1 will come with an expandable memory slot which will probably support up to 64GB of additional storage. Just for the reminder, the original Moto X didn't allow users to expand the internal memory.
Just a day back, the Moto X+1 was caught red handed in a hands-on video. The video, posted on YouTube, by Korean website TK Tech News, allegedly shows the Moto X+1 covered in Saran Wrap to cover up identification of the device. Apparently, the video seemed to answer many of our questions which had been pending for last few months.
Moto X+1 is reportedly tipped to arrive sometime in August or latest by September, according to new reports. So far we have no exact details surrounding a release date, but given the leaks we're already seeing n the past few weeks, it should be out coming soon.
