Motorola Droid line up is quite rich with a number of models. There have been reports that confirm the addition of a whole new model to the Droid family. The mobile is termed as Motorola Droid 4.
There were speculations that the release date of the device will be delayed due to some issues. The original release date was somewhere around January. The reviewers expected that the device will be launched during the consumer electronics show which is going to be held from 10th to 13th of January.
Some of the expected specifications and features of Motorola Droid 4 are:
- Sliding phone design
- 4 inch display
- qHD display resolution
- Full QWERTY keyboard
- 1.2 GHz dual core processor
- 1 GB system memory
- 16 GB storage memory
- Main camera with a resolution of about 8 mega pixel
Why this delay is coming is also not clear. But the guess is that it may be because of the same or similar issues regarding the 4G LTE network that the Motorola Droid Bionic has to face. So if the releasing date is fixed we can assume that the problems have been sorted out.
The ‘would be ‘spec list seems pretty impressive. Motorola Droid always offered big screen sizes and this model is no exception. Sporting a 4 inch qHD display it would easily handle high definition videos and games without much trouble. The screen may be capacitive or AMOLED type but cannot confirm this since actual pricing figures of the device is not known. There will also be full sized QWERTY keyboard. This would make typing very lengthy emails and messages very easy. The touch screen display coupled with this keyboard will also allow easy access to all the menus and sub menus. The processor has a very good clock speed too. At 1.2 GHz this will be a very powerful processing tool.
Motorola Droid 4 price is not yet clear but is expected to be announced by the beginning of the next year. More specifications and details about the device may also be revealed by that time.
