Motorola to Launch Affordable 4G Mobile in India Soon

Motorola is said to launch affordable 4G smartphone in India and Brazil by 2015 if a new Economic Times report is to be believed. Motorola is doing good business in the smartphone market with its recent release of budget devices Moto G, Moto G (Second Gen) and Moto X in Indian market.

"The transition to 4G will be quick. Next year, we are going to be very aggressive in the 4G value proposition for end users."said Motorola President and CEO Rick Osterloh to ET.

As per the IDC report, Samsung leads with 23.7%, followed by Apple with 11.7%, Xiaomi with 5.2% and Lenovo following closely with 5.1%, while LG occupied the No 5 slot with 5% share.

Motorola stands fifth in the Indian smartphone market with a share of 5%, trailing market leaders like Samsung and home-bred handset makers Micromax, Lava and Karbonn.

Recently Techmaniacs, a Greek blog, revealed that Motorola is Working on Moto E2. According to the report, this budget phone will support 4G network and will support hardware like 1GB of RAM, 400 Snapdragon processor, 5MP rear camera and it is likely to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

As there is no Official announcement from Motorola's end, we are expecting information soon in upcoming days.
