Motorola has launched the successor of Moto E in the Indian market today in an event. Codenamed Moto E 2nd gen, this device is shipped with the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box. Moreover, this 2nd gen smartphone, which was globally announced last month, is now available on the e-retail store Flipkart starting tomorrow midnight at a price of Rs. 6,999.

Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen, sports a 4.5-inch qHD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels and it is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This device is clocked at 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor and Adreno 302 GPU besides 1GB RAM.
Moving on to the camera, it features a 5MP auto focus rear camera, VGA or 0.3MP front snapper onn the board. On the storage front, it comes with 8GB of built-in memory, with an expansion option of 32GB via microSD card slot. Moto Notifications and Updates are new features added to the above advanced software.
On the connectivity, Moto E 2nd gen supports 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0LE, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB, runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 out of the box and powered by a 2390mAh battery, which is 20 percent more than its predecessor.
Coming in White and Black variant, Moto E 2nd gen is available exclusively on Flipkart with a price tag of Rs. 6,999. The back cover can be personalised with 6 available colors such as Red, Blue, Golden Yellow, Raspberry, Purple, Turquoise.
