Motorola Moto E Vs Intex Aqua i5HD: Battle of the Budget Warriors
The mid-range segment has seen many exciting new developments since the start of the year 2014. Although only becoming popular in 2013, this category is said to grow exponentially, backed by high-profile brands, with names as big as Motorola or Gionee for that matter.
The entry level to mid range segment is here to say, as buyer's continues to show their faith. That is why Motorola Mobility, now under Lenovo group, is enhancing its presence in the Android-powered entry level segment, leveraging the spectacular sales gained from its Moto G handset. In addition to the mid-end model, the tech vendor has also begun selling an entry-level model, the Moto E, across the world, including India.
Intex Aqua i5HD, on the other handset, is a well designed phone for Rs. 9,990. Both the phones are no powerhouse, at least, in terms of specifications and features. Although the phone is decent looking, however, it does not support the latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS out-of-the box. But when it comes to value for money, the Moto E is second to none. These two, however, target the same mid-range segment.
Well, if you are looking forward to buy a budget targeted handset, it is always better to do a market survey. Or else a quick comparison between two similar priced handsets is a must to get a better understanding about the latest trend.
Here's a look at how these devices fare against each other, and which of these really deserves to be crowned as the best budget phone in its class.

Motorola Moto E vs Intex Aqua i5HD - Display
The display on the Intex Aqua i5HD will actually help you to identify between a high and a low resolution image. That being said, the screen is far better under the direct sun light. 5-inches of 720p screen real estate looks dazzling and is, by far, the most amazing part of this device. The Moto E, on the other hand, comes with a 4.3-inch qHD (960 x 540) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone's display seemed to be above average, as per our standards.
Winner - Intex Aqua i5HD
Motorola Moto E vs Intex Aqua i5HD - Software
The Aqua i5HDS runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the box, and an upgrade to Kitkat is on the cards. The makers have tried to customize the UI, making the user experience a bit different from other phones in the same very league. The operating system is perhaps one of the most important judging criteria while selecting a phone. The Moto E is a fantastic option in our opinion, if you really want an unadulterated Android experience. The handset runs Android 4.4.2 Kitkat; plus it will be upgraded to next version of the Android whenever it arrives.
Winner - Motorola Moto E
Motorola Moto E vs Intex Aqua i5HD - Processor and Storage
At the heart of the Aqua i5HDS is a MediaTek powered quad-core processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. 1GB of RAM is just about sufficient to handling multitasking on Android phones. While the Motorola Moto E features a dual core 1.2 GHz Cortex A7 processor, backed by 1GB of RAM and 4GB of-onboard memory, which can be later expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.

Motorola Moto E vs Intex Aqua i5HD - Camera
The camera on the Intex Aqua i5HD isn't surprisingly, although it features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. Videos are recorded at 720p@30fps. The phone also comes with a 5MP front-facing camera. Meanwhile, the Moto E does come with a 5MP rear-facing shooter, but the phone's camera performed poorly in our tests. Unfortunately, the Moto E does not have a front-facing camera; plus an LED Flash is also missing.

Motorola Moto E vs Intex Aqua i5HD - Battery
The Moto E incorporates a 1980 mAh battery, while the Intex Aqua i5HD comes fitted with decent 2,00mAh fitted inside.
Winner- Motorola Moto E
Motorola Moto E vs Intex Aqua i5HD - Retail Price
The Intex Aqua i5HD is currently available at a price point of Rs. 9,990 via physical as well as online stores, while the Moto E is currently available at Rs. 6,999 exclusively via Flipkart, instead of regular physical channels.
Winner - Intex Aqua i5HD
Motorola Moto E vs Intex Aqua i5HD - Verdict
Both phones are new into the market, so logically speaking it is hard to give a final verdict instantly. The Motorola Moto E is a surprisingly loaded phone at a price point of Rs. 6,999. It comes with the latest Android OS, and at the same time boasts excellent design and bang-for-buck. However, the phone lacks a front-facing camera and no LED Flash either. As for the Aqua i5HD, we loved the phone's design and build quality. The Intex Aqua i5HD is a very capable phone with a beautiful 5-inch HD display.
