Motorola has had a sort of rejuvenation when considering its recent role in the Indian smartphone market. The company has enjoyed a lot of popularity with handsets such as Moto G and Moto E. And now there's more to follow up on.
Motorola, with the excitement related to the Moto G and Moto E handsets subsiding, is now aiming at brand new releases. And while all of them are still in a rumored state, it does hint at the fact that new handsets are indeed arriving from the company.
One of the latest Motorola handsets to be massively rumored on the web has emerged to be the new Motorola Moto X+1. And although we are to find out if the eventual naming of the handset sticks to that, the related rumors and leaks have spoken massively about the handset.
But with Motorola now clearing the fogs of doubt over the new handset by confirming that it will be launching the Moto X+1 and Moto 360 on September 4 at an event in the US, we have our fingers crossed on whether we will get more new features and amplified specs via the new handset.
But before the handset finally goes live for all the users at the event, we take a look at its top leaks and rumors that have arrived over the months. Take a look at the sliders below for more information.
While the new Motorola handset waits to be unveiled at the upcoming September 4 event, it seems we may just have a sneak peek at what the handset may all be about. Sure there have been rumors and leaks suggesting how the handset might come with changed display size and resolution, but the final say on it was delivered by the very popular Evan Blass of @evleaks. And here's what he posted.
Very honestly, we aren't expecting anything different in terms of device display when the new Moto X+1 is considered. However, if reports are anything to go by, then we just might see the new Motorola handset becoming the first one in line to arrive with a superb 1080p display. For the sake of comparison, both the Moto X and Moto G handsets offer 720p display.
The big question here is whether the handset will offer a Snapdragon 800 or Snapdragon 801 processor underneath. Going by the information shared via GFXBench, it has been claimed that that the new handset, called XT1097, will have core clock speed at 2.5GHz. This has suggested the presence of Snapdragon 801 inside. However, we are expecting the similar Snapdragon 800 inside.
Take this with a pinch of salt, but the aforementioned specs for the handset, although waiting to be finalized, have offered a glimpse on how exactly the new handset could turn out to be. The rumored specs for the same have pointed toward a 5.2-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, Android 4.4.3, a Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The camera is listed as having a 12MP sensor, with the device also shipping with a built-in pedometer.
While the specs for the handset tell an entirely different story, most of the sites dealing with the handset have claimed a similar pricing for the new handset as that of the original Moto X. But more on that will be available when the handset is finally brought to life by the company.
