As expected, Motorola has finally launched the new Moto X in India. The device can be bought via Motorola's exclusive online retail partner Flipkart at the price of Rs. 31,999, starting today midnight. The new Motorola Moto X Leather and Bamboo variants would cost more.
Motorola Moto X (2014) is a massive upgrade on size from the first Moto X which was launched last year with a 4.7-inch display. It uses a single nano SIM and several rear finishes including wood and leather.
Motorola Moto X (2104): Key Specifications
The Motorola Moto X comes with a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and it is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974-AC) processor with Adreno 330 GPU. For multi-tasking it uses a 2GB RAM and the phone runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS.
In terms of imaging, the handset uses a 13MP rear camera with dual LED Ring flash, f/2.25 aperture, and 4K video recording capability and at the front, users will get to see a 2MP front-facing snapper with 1080p HD video recording capability.
The device ca n be bought in two variants depending on the internal storage capacity viz. 16GB and 32GB.
The new Moto X also has a wide range of connectivity options like 3G, WiFi 802.11a/g/b/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS and NFC.
The smartphone with a front-facing speaker is powered by a 2300 mAh battery and measures 9.97 mm thick and weighs 144 grams.
Although, this is one of the handsets that every Android lover most probably will opt for, it will become a subject to the tough market competition, here in India.
