But it seems that the company has accidently confirmed its plans to release the Android L update for the Moto X.
While commenting on a Google+ user Josh B's query about if the Moto X will ever update to the Android L (5.0), Punit Soni , Motorola's VP of Product Management confirmed the arrival of the latest Android update for its Moto X.
Although, he did not share any other details about Android L for Motorola devices but it appears that the Moto X will be among the select handsets to get the update later this year. Google is expected to push the Android L update later in the fall, alongside the global debut of the Nexus 6 smartphone.
Android L - All You Need To Know
Android L, the latest Android update, is going to have an incremental re-design. The notification panel is now being merged with the lockscreen. The Android L will also learn from you, based on your interactions. The Android 5.0 is now faster and more efficient. It will be a free upgrade but most of the handsets makers will take time to push the update.
