With the coming of the Android KitKat OS featuring low-end smartphone in India, domestic smartphone makers have started making larger screen featuring handsets in the market in an affordable price. One such phone that has been launched today comes from Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) called MTS Blaze 5.0. The handset has been launched at the price of Rs. 10,999 in white color.
The best part is that the handset is being bundled 1,00,000 MB of data valid for one year on first recharge of Rs. 198 in all its circles that includes, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, UP West, West Bengal and Kolkata. It also comes with pre-loaded applications like Live TV, integrated music player, on-call support, Piano lock and more.
In terms of specs as well the handset is pretty good at the given price. It comes with a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) touch screen IPS display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor coupled with 1GB RAM, and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.
MTS Blaze 5.0 also comes with an 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing shooter as well.
Connectivity options include 3G (EVDO Rev.A /HSDPA), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS. And it is a Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM) smartphone.
The smartphone comes with a native storage capacity of 4GB which can be further expandable up to 32GB. It comes packed with a 2500 mAh battery.

The latest offering from MTS will have to compete with the latest Karbonn Titanium S9 Lite which has been launched today itself at the price of Rs. 8,990.
