MWC 2015: Huawei Watch with 1.4-inch and Sapphire Crystal Lens Announced

Worth the expected hype, Chinese manufacturer Huawei has announced its very first Android wear smartwatch in the Mobile World Congress 2015, which is happening currently in Barcelona, Spain. According to the company, the smartwatch is made with more than 130 components, from which the crown, frame and hinge has been built from high-quality and scratch resistant cold-forged stainless steel making it 40 percent harder.

Moving to the specification, the smartwatch sports a 1.4-inch AMOLED Display made of sapphire crystal lens with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels, which is translated into 286 ppi and a 10,000:1 high contrast ratio. This wearable is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor besides 512MB RAM, along with 4GB of memory.

Moreover, it is compatible with Android 4.3 or more, and comes with 6-Axis motion sensor, heart rate monitor, Barometer. This watch measures 42mm and has a standard 18mm lug width. The Company also provides 40 different customizable watch faces with the Watch.

Like the smartband, this smartwatch also comes in two variants, stainless steel and leather band. The Huawei Watch will be sold in at least 20 countries initially, and these include United States, United Kingdom, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
