The GSM Touch Pro2 is HSDPA 3G connectivity compatible. Weighing about 178.5 grams, the Touch Pro2 has a full QWERTY keypad and has the innovative TouchFLO 3D finger swipe navigation. Other cool additions include the Handwriting recognition and the Touch sensitive Zoom bar along with an obvious accelerometer sensor.
A 3.5mm audio jack allows the user to connect the handset to almost all speaker and microphone devices and enjoy with its brilliant speakers which offers great audibility and acoustic quality.
The handset is a bit slow when you access applications and run them because of a disappointing 288 MB RAM. Apart from the 3G connectivity, Pro2 supports GPRS and EDGE connectivity as well. WiFi is a most obvious feature in business class handsets. Touch Pro2 supports WiFi and has the integrated v2.1 A2DP enabled Bluetooth connectivity as well.
The USB port this phone comes with is the miniUSB version. It’s designed to be compatible with microSD memory cards. The screen size is of 3.6 inch. The specifications are quite nice if you are thinking about the camera. Equipped with an autofocus enabled 3.2 Mega pixel camera, the maximum image resolution is 2048 x 1536 pixels. Video conference won’t be of that good quality with the VGA camera at the front.
The Windows Operating System works pretty well as in other HTC Windows handsets. The phone is managed by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional which is also upgradeable to the 6.5 version.
The phone gives pretty cool graphics to the media files with Adreno 130 GPU and is powered by a 528 MHz ARM 11 processor. The HTML browser is not half bad but not that great either. The Pro2 has a TV Out and has the integrated MIDP 2.0 Java platform. Manipulating documents will be easy with the embedded Pocket office offering MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
The microphone coming with the Pro2 has a decent noise canceling capability. The GPS enabled HTC Touch Pro2 is said to a standard price tag in India, and is expected to be between Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000 range.
