The famed Android handset manufacturer is likely to unravel a new phone with a bezel-less display. Earlier today we saw the ZTE Nubia Z9 in pictures which confirmed the bezel-less screen.

The live pictures show a large part of the phone's screen which gives an impression that the display is 100% borderless. The handset uses a 2.5D glass that curves in toward the sides.

Since the smartphone has been a couple of times over the past last days, we already know some of the specs of the ZTE Nubia Z9.

As for the screen, ZTE has decided to go for a 5.5-inch Quad HD display. The device's 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor will be complemented by an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

In the back side, the handset is said to have a 20MP rear-facing camera, alongside a 5MP front-facing shooter. The handset will be packed with 16GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).

We do know that ZTE Nubia Z9 will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with the company's native UI on top.

ZTE Nubia Z9 - Price and availability

If rumors are to be believed, the ZTE Nubia Z9 is expected to be unveiled on May 6 in China. Talking about the price, though, some media reports suggest the handset to cost less than $500 or about Rs. 31,000.

Not just ZTE, several top-notch handset makers are planning to announce their respective border-less handsets in China. Among them, the Chinese handset manufacturer Oppo is likely to unveil a bezel-less Android-powered phone in the coming days. Dubbed as the Oppo R7, the phone is expected to rock an octa-core MediaTek processor, a 20.7MP camera and a large QHD screen.
