10 Major Differences Between Google Nexus 6P vs Samsung Galaxy Note 5

After much speculations and rumors, the much-awaited Google Nexus smartphones are finally here. Google introduces its next generation of its flagship smartphones at an event yesterday in San Francisco.

Google unveiled not only one flagship, but two new Nexus smartphones at the event: the Nexus 5X manufactured by LG and the Nexus 6P in collaboration with Huawei.

The Huawei made Google Nexus 6P is a phablet-class device with a bigger 5.7 inch display. While the first smartphone that comes in mind when we say is the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. To give a better perspective on the both smartphones we have compared the newly launched Nexus 6P with Galaxy Note 5.

Google finally came up with metal-clad design to compete with the other premium smartphones. The smartphone has a premium-looking device, built with aircraft-grade aluminum. While the Galaxy Note 5, comes with Gorilla Glass 4 covering on the back of the smartphone.

The Nexus 6P comes with a larger 5.7 inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels, which translates to 518ppi pixel density. The display is very crisp and employs the AMOLED technology. The Galaxy Note 5 also has the same sized screen of 5.7 inch with the same resolution of 1440x2560 pixels at the same 518ppi pixel density.

The Nexus 6P is powered by a 64-Bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. While, the Samsung has powered the Galaxy Note 5 with its own Exynos 7420 chipset, with a processing speed of 64-bit 2.1GHz processor.

The Nexus 6P is paired with 3GB of RAM and the Galaxy Note 5 comes with 4GB of RAM.

The Nexus 6P comes with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. While the Galaxy Note 5 comes with Android Lollipop with TouchWiz UI.

The Nexus 6P comes in three storage variants: 32/64 and 128 GB. While, the Galaxy Note 5 only comes in two storage models: 32GB and 64GB. Neither of the phones offers microSD expansion.

The Google Nexus 6P sports 12.3 megapixel, which is made by Sony sensors with 1.55 micron pixels and an 8 megapixel front-facing camera. While the Note 5 sports a 16 megapixel primary and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.

The Galaxy Note 5 and Nexus 6P both comes with non-removable battery. The Note 5 is backed with 3000mAh battery and the Nexus 5X is also packed with 3000mAh battery.

Fingerprint scanner is most appealing feature for today's flagship smartphones. Both smartphone features the fingerprint scanner on them.

Price

The Nexus 6P will be available in the Indian market starting October at a price tag of Rs. 39,999. While, the Samsung Galaxy Note is priced for Rs. 53,900 for the 32GB model.
