Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C is a colourful variant of Idol 3
Alcatel added a refreshed model to its flagship Idol line up at the IFA 2015. The just arrived Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C is the company's new variant of the OneTouch Idol 3 which is a mid-range smartphone that was launched earlier this year. The Idol 3C is essentially a colorful variant of the Idol 3, and this is the major and only difference between the two as the rest remains the same.
The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C is available in white, red, green, pink, and yellow colored panels, which can be snapped off and replaced to change the look of the phone.

The OneTouch Idol 3C features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution, and is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 615 octa-core chipset with 64-bit architecture. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which can be expanded on a microSD card.
It runs on 2910mAh battery inside. Front has an 8-megapixel secondary camera and stereo speakers, while the rear has 13-megapixel shooter. The phone runs Android 5.0.2 out of the box.
The Idol 3 was the company's first globally released flagship, and was appreciated for featuring upper-midrange hardware for its price. Alcatel expanded the line with the Idol 3C to encash on the Idol 3's popularity.

As for price and availability, the Idol 3C should be priced about the same as the Idol 3, which was launched for $250, close to Rs 16,500.
