Alcatel has sent out the invites for the launch of camera-centric smartphone in the Indian market. As promised, the company has released the smartphone, dubbed as Flash 2 at an event in New Delhi.
According to the company, this smartphone comes with curved back and contoured sides giving a perfect fit in users hand both ergonomically and comfortably.
Moving on to the specifications of the device, the Flash 2 sports a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels which translates into 294 ppi along with 178-degree viewing angle feature.
It is clocked at 1.3GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 GPU besides 2GB LPDDR3 RAM on board. Talking about the software, this camera-centric device is shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
In terms of storage capacity, the Flash 2 is equipped with 16GB of built-in memory, with an expansion option of up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

On the imaging factor, this phablet flaunts a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL Sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens with blue glass optical filter, PDAF, 80-degree wide angle, 1080P video recording.
The front snapper is taken care by a 5MP front-facing camera with Soft-LED flash, OV5648 1/4″ sensor, f/2.2 aperture on board.
Further, this device supports connectivity options like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. The above hardware is powered by a huge 3000mAh battery under the hood.
The Alcatel Flash 2 comes in Volcanic Grey, Mica White color variants and will be available on the e-retailer Flipkart at a price of Rs. 9,299. Further, the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 will sell in a flash sale model on Flipkart. Registration begins on Oct 21st, sale on 27th
In the market, Alcatel Flash 2 will face competition with other mid-rangers including Xiaomi Mi 4i, Honor 4C, Yu Yureka Plus, Moto G (2nd Gen) and others.
