8 Big Announcements from Apple Special Event: New iPhones, iPads, Apple TV, Watch And More

Apple kicked off its annual keynote event yesterday at 10 a.m. PDT (10:30 p.m. IST) at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.

As expected, the company has announced handful of refreshed products including new iPhones, new iPads, a revamped Apple TV and Apple Watch.

The event was filled with much excitement with products like a bigger iPad and innovative Apple TV remove and the much expected 3D Touch for the iPhones. Here we have listed all the latest announcement by Apple. Take a look at the slider below to know more..

Apple iPhone 6S

The only thing that was confirmed ahead of the Apple's event is the iPhone 6S. The physical appearance of the iPhone 6S is exactly same as the iPhone 6, but comes with minor hardware adjustments. It sports a 4.7 inch Retina display at 1334x750 pixels of resolution and has display protection with ion-strengthened glass and fingerprint friendly oleophobic coating.

The new iPhone 6S features a 3D Force Touch feature and is powered by the latest A9 chipset. In the camera department, it is equipped with a 12 megapixel iSight camera rear camera with improved OIS as well as a 5 megapixel front facing camera. Read more.

The iPhone 6S Plus is bigger version of the iPhone 6S and sports a 5.5 inch Retina Display at 1920x1080 pixels resolution and has display protection with ion-strengthened glass and fingerprint friendly oleophobic coating.

It was highly rumored that Apple will come up with bigger screen iPad and now its finally here. Apple announced the huge 12.9 inch iPad Pro at the event yesterday. The bigger iPad comes with a beautiful 12.9 inch Retina display at a resolution of stunning 2732x2048 pixels. The Apple's slate further enhanced by the Force Touch that works perfectly in Apple's Force Touch-enabled stylus. Well, the stylus is called as Apple Pencil and will be sole separately.

The new iPad Pro features Apple's latest A9 series chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and the major change in the iPad Pro is it will be shipped with iOS 9.1 out-of-the-box. Read more.

Apple also announced the iPad Mini 4, which is basically the iPad Air 2 in a smaller size, along with the larger iPad Pro. As expected Apple is inspired for the iPad Air 2 to produce the fourth-generation iPad mini.

It comes with ultra-sleek from factor and measures just a 6.1 mm thickness, compared to the 7.5 mm that of the iPad Mini 3. The iPad Mini 4 sports the same 7.9 inch Retina display that comes with native 2048x1536 pixels of resolution that produces a whopping 3.1 million pixels that translates to 326ppi. Read more.

The most speculated announcement was the revamped Apple TV with new remote control. The 4th generation of Apple TV comes with much powerful hardware, latest OS, Siri Support, and newer user interface.

Well, the remote comes with a touchpad! A really modern TV remote to say the least. Further the remote doubles up as a game controller when turned sideways. The buttons located on the remote include a Menu, Display, Siri, Play/Pause and a Volume button. Read more.

Apple's annual keynote event took off the latest update to the Apple Watch lineup. The Apple Watch now comes with more than 10,000 apps in the App Store, interestingly Facebook Messenger app is coming to Apple Watch. Advanced sensors in Apple Pencil measure both pressure and tilt for a fast and fluid drawing experience, while a built-in Lightning connector makes for quick and easy pairing and charging. Apple Pencil also works with popular apps like Mail, Notes, Procreate and Office 365 for iPad, offering new levels of creativity and productivity.

Apple's new Smart Keyboard further extends the utility of iPad Pro, offering a full-sized keyboard in a thin, durable design so you can take it anywhere. The Smart Keyboard, available for purchase separately, attaches to iPad Pro's innovative Smart Connector port, eliminating the need for a separate battery, on/off switch or Bluetooth pairing.
