Asus Zenfone 2 Laser Now on Sale in India at Rs 9,999: Exclusively on Flipkart!

Asus launched the Zenfone Laser at the Zen Festival in Delhi on August. But it wasn't till now that the camera centric device went on sale in India.

Asus had started taking preorders for this budget camera centric device on Flipkart from 19th of August but the device hadn't gone out for sale till now. Today, the company announced that they have advanced the sales of the smartphone on Flipkart, which is now available for purchase starting today. The company received a total of 30,000 pre-orders on Flipkart for their Zenfone lineup till now and 10,000 among them for the Zenfone Laser.

The Asus Zenfone Laser (ZE550KL) which comes with 5.5 inch HD (1280x720) display with 72% Screen to Body Ratio which is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood is a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core SoC with Adreno 306 GPU along with a 2GB of RAM. In terms of storage there is a 16GB of expandable storage which can be further expanded with 128GB of Memory Expansion.

The USP of the device though lies in the camera. The Laser comes with a 13MP f2.0 rear camera with comes with Laser Autofocus, thereby promising impeccable focusing times. On the front is a 5MP front facing camera which too comes with f2.0 aperture. The battery on the inside is impressive too at 3000mAh.

The Asus Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5 comes in Pure Black, Ceramic White and Glamour Red Colours and is priced at Rs 9,999. Further Asus had announced a higher specced version of the device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octacore SoC inside which they plan to introduce at Rs 13,999.

Asus though is also selling a cheaper variant dubbed the Zenfone Laser 5.0 (ZE500KL) on Flipkart at a price of Rs 9,799 for the 8GB variant and Rs 9,999 for 16GB variant.

Speaking about the overwhelmed response towards the company's Zenfone series in India, Peter Chang, Regional Head - South Asia & Country Manager, Systems Businees Group, Asus India said:
