Android-Based BlackBerry Venice Rumored To Be Released As BlackBerry Priv
BlackBerry first attempt at an Android device dubbed the Venice has been making new for a while. Featuring the stereotypical slider associated with BlackBerry, the Venice come with a top of line specs under the hood. However it seem that we might have a sweet twist in the tale.
According to a new report the alleged BlackBerry device which was being referred as the Venice, will actually hit the retail under the name BlackBerry Priv! The word Priv sparks a new assumption that the upcoming BlackBerry division might be paying some impetus to the Privacy of the device.

BlackBerry had allegedly dodged question of an upcoming Android device earlier this year by stating that they will definitely come up with one if they can do something interesting.
BlackBerry's past track records to seem to be accordance to our belief. The Canadian company had always been Enterprise first mobile OEM, hence including extra Privacy features to an Android device isn't quite a bad idea. In case BlackBerry does succeed to hit the market with a so called ‘Priv' device then, analyst at Gizbot are confident that the Canadian company will soon regain its market presence.

The Priv is rumored to carry model number STV100-G. All four major carriers in the US are said to offer the device post-November, after BlackBerry has had a chance to unveil the slider.
Bear in mind that BlackBerry Priv isn't the only Privacy first device available in the market. There are a few others, however the Unhackable and Unbreakable Turing Phone is the most popular among them.

In terms of raw specs, the BlackBerry Priv is expected to come with a hexa core Snapdragon 808 SoC with cores clocked at 1.8GHz each. Tipsters hint that the device will sport a 5.4 inch QHD display on the front along with a 3GB of RAM and 18MP rear camera. No words regarding the storage and the battery aren't available so far.
