Doogee is Chinese brand that has been making some noise off late thanks to their range of budget devices.
Recently the company launched a budget device with a whooping 6200mAh battery dubbed the HomTom HT6. Thanks to the ‘XXL' sized battery, the device received attention from many a buyers worldwide.
Now the company is back with a new device called the Doogee F5. Sporting an octa core Mediatek 6753 SoC with cores clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with a Mali T720 GPU at a price tag of $139.99 (Rs 9,100) the Doogee F5 may appear as just an ordinary mid-range device.
However there's a lot more to the story! Despite the sub 10K pricing Doogee has managed to give the F5 an unibody metal construction. Rather it is among the rare few smartphone under Rs 10,000 to come with such an impeccable built quality. In fact there aren't any budget device available in India with a metal unibody design.
In terms of specs, the Doogee F5 sports a 3GB of RAM along with a 16GB of onboard storage, beside the 64 bit enabled octa core SoC.
The front of the Doogee F5 sports a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS OGS display sourced from Sharp along with a 5MP front camera (Omnivision sensor). The rear bears a 13MP AF camera using the Samsung 3M-2 sensor. There's a fingerprint sensor too just below the camera module on the back of the device.
Doogee F5 supports 4G LTE (FDD-LTE 800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz bands), hence networks compatibility won't be an issue. In spite of the metal back, Doogee has kept this device pretty slim at 7.8mm. However it's on the heavier side at 171 grams.
The device is available in three color variants - Champagne Gold, Deep Gray and Light Gray - via Everybuying at $139.99 (Rs 9,100).
