Ford Vehicles with Sync 3 are getting Android Auto and CarPlay
Ford has announced that owners of its new cars will be soon able to enjoy Android Auto and Apple's Car Play in their vehicles. This will make it easier for Car owners to use entertainment, music and enable them seamlessly integrate their smartphones into the vehicle. Integration of Ford Vehicles with the Android and iOS system will allow vehicle owners to use select services and integrate the mobile ecosystem into their cars.

Owners of Ford's 2016 models with QNX-based system will be able to upgrade only next year. However, the Sync 3 features will come with Android Auto and Apple's Car Play with the Ford's Escape.
Don Butler, Ford executive director of connected vehicle and services said, "Sync allows customers to bring the smartphone technology they're comfortable with into a vehicle and use it without hassle."
With more than 15 million SYNC-equipped vehicles on roads around the world today and 43 million expected by 2020. In addition, new SYNC Connect technology powered by 4G LTE gives owners the ability to remotely access features of their car. Owners can program a remote start, unlock doors, check fuel level or locate a parked vehicle via their smartphone.

Gizbot had earlier reported of a Siri Integration into the Ford Cars. Vehicle owners will be able to access Siri and give voice commands to Siri with the help of SYNC 3.
With AppLink - the SYNC feature enabling drivers to voice-control smartphone apps from the driver's seat - Ford is making it even easier to create unique, personalized experiences. AppLink has an expense tracker, event tracking app, maps.
Ford is expected to unveil several of the new features of Sync 3 and AppLink at CES 2016.
