Gionee Elife E8 lookalike launched as Allview X2 Xtreme in Romania
Ahead of the expected launch of the Gionee's much awaited Elife E8 smartphone today, a Romanian smartphone company has introduced an exact copy of the Gionee's unannounced smartphone.

The newbie named as the Allview X2 Xtreme could be considered as a Romanian version of the Gionee's smartphone as it looks exactly like the Elife E8, though flaunts a different brand moniker. Allview works closely with Chinese brands like Gionee to integrate the latter's hardware products into Romania.

As for its features of the phone, the Allview X2 Xtreme comes with powerful specs that are in line with the rumored specs of the Gionee Elife E8, which has been touted as a beast. Talking of its display, the phone boasts a 6-inch QHD 2K display offering 1440x2560 pixels resolution.
Under the hood sits a 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 with true octa-core chipset ticking at 2GHz, mingled with IMG G620 GPU. The phone features 3GB of RAM paired with 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB.

The key attraction of the phone is its 23-megapixel rear camera which is capable of recording 4K video. The phone also touts an 8-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfie enthusiasts. It features a fingerprint scanner on the rear and is powered by a 3,500mAh battery. As for software, the phone runs Android 5.1 KitKat out-of-the-box. All these features are packed in this 9.6mm thick smartphone.
The phone has been priced at $554 USD which is quite attractive for its specs and features. While it is yet not certain if Gionee will take the wraps off its Elife E8 smartphone today at a launch event, Allview has announced to release the X2 Xtreme on August 15 in Romania.
