Some earlier reports also leaked the render images of both the smartphones, but yesterday, in the process of promoting Google Photos app for Android and iOS in Instagram, Google showed a new smartphone whose design is on par with the leaked render images of Nexus Sailfish.
It is a known fact that Google already has the history of doing this. The Search giant also accidentally leaked Nexus smartphone in past. So, the trend continues with this year Nexus smartphones as well. However, it is unclear on which smartphone the video actually has. Based on the screen size, we believe that it will be the Nexus Sailfish as the previous reports suggested that the Sailfish will feature a 5.2-inch display.
However, Google showed an iOS popup on the screen and the smartphone might be the iPhone SE as well. But, it surely has a 2.5D curved glass and the iPhone won't feature a curved glass.
That said, this might well be the upcoming Nexus smartphone from the company which is accidentally released, may be, or it can also be a hint from Google.

In terms of specifications, both the 2016 smartphones will feature 4GB of RAM and latest Snapdragon 820 chipset. The Sailfish will arrive with a 5.2-inch FHD display and the Nexus Marlin might come with a 5.7-inch QHD display.
As seen on the 2015 Nexus smartphones, the fingerprint sensors will be rested on the rear below the camera. The same 12MP camera can be seen on both the smartphones, which gave a tight competition for the 2015 Galaxies.
As of now, there are no words on when the smartphones will be launched, but if we follow the history, they will be launched sometime in October.
