Google Rolls Out Security Based Android Update for Nexus Series

Search engine giant, Google is planning to push the new Android updates for the whole Nexus line up. The Nexus Line up including LG Nexus 4 and 5, Motorola Nexus 6, Asus Nexus 7 (2013) and HTC Nexus 9.

Google Rolls Out Security Based Android Update for Nexus Series

As per the report from T-Mobile, Google will push updates with the build number LMY48M except Nexus 6, meanwhile the Motorola made Nexus device will receive update with build number LTZ28K.

This update don't have any new features, instead it has various tweaks, bug fixes and the patches for Android security.

Google has initiated this update, to prevent from bugs like Stagefright bug which took the Android OS by storm. Additionally as a part of this initiative, the search engine giant will offer update on the monthly basis.

Moving on, this OTA update comes at size of 20MB for all, while for the Nexus 6, it comes at 30MB.

These updates can be downloaded with strong internet connection or Wi-Fi. The update is released by batches and will gradually reach everyone in few days time.
