HTC has introduced yet another device in China dubbed the Desire 828. With the number of devices being launched by the Taiwanese company these day, it getting difficult day by day to remember the exact models.
Nevertheless the HTC Desire 828 hones the feather of being the first Desire series phone to come with an Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Upfront of the HTC Desire 828 is a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920x1080p) display which comes with Mediatek 6753 octa core SoC with each cores clocked at 1.3GHz each. This is coupled with a Mali T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
In terms of storage, the HTC Desire 828 comes with 16GB of onboard storage along with room for memory expansion slot. HTC claims that the device support upto 2TB of MicroSD card. But is there any 2TB card around in the first place?
To power the phablet is a 2800mAH Li-Poly battery. The HTC Desire 828 however excels in the camera department where it comes with a 13MP AF unit which is further back with an OIS as mentioned before. The rest of the specifications include dual front firing speakers, dual SIM support with 4G LTE.
The 7.9mm slim HTC Desire 828 runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with HTC Sense 6.0 UI on top. The smartphone has been priced at 1599 Yuan (Rs 16,000 approx.) in China. HTC hasn't yet aired their plans of a global roll out of this device.
