HTC to roll out Marshmallow update for unlocked One M8 by tomorrow

HTC has announced that it will release Android Marshmallow update for an unlocked One M8 devices. Mo Versi, HTC's VP of Product Management has tweeted about this.

Versi tweeted that HTC has finished testing has been completed on the unlocked HTC One M8 and the update will begin pushing out within 24 hours. The Marshmallow update brings several improvements to the One M8 like Doze and Permission controls.

One of the features includes Doze, enhanced permission controls, etc. One of the better things about the Marshmallow update is that it gives users more privacy as it gives them control as to what apps they would like to give permission to access their personal information. Also Doze feature allows users to control their battery. Users can go to settings and manually check for updates or otherwise they can wait until they receive a notification for update.

HTC is yet to roll our the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by tomorrow. Users who have an unlocked version of the One M8 will get the latest Android OS before the One M9. HTC had earlier stated that botht eh unlocked One M9 and M8 will receive Marshmallow update by December 2015.
