Huawei Enjoy 5S with Metal Unibody Design and Fingerprint Scanner launched

After having teased the Huawei Enjoy 5S in a recent teaser, the Chinese smartphone brand has finally made it official. The latest mid-range device from Huawei is now listed on the company's official online store Vmall.

The Huawei Enjoy 5S is apparently a variant of the Enjoy 5 smartphone that was launched back in October last year. Unlike its predecessor the Huawei Enjoy 5S sports an all metal unibody design with a 5 inch HD (1280x720p) LCD IPS display upfront. Under the hood the smartphone is powered by a Mediatek6753T octa core SoC and a Mali T720 GPU. This is complemented by a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage.

The metal clad device is powered by a 2200mAh non removable battery. In terms of camera the Enjoy 5S comes with a 13MP rear unit along with a 5MP front facing selfie snapper. Furthermore Huawei has bundled in a Fingerprint Scanner at the back of the device, just below the rear camera. Beside the rear camera lies a single LED Flash and a secondary Noise cancelling mic.

In terms of connectivity the Huawei Enjoy 5S with WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB, A-GPS and 4G LTE support. The smartphone measures at 143.5x71x7.6mm and weighs around 145gm. The Huawei Enjoy 5S comes with Hybrid SIM Slot (Dual SIM with Dual Standby support) and runs on a baked version of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop thanks to the company's EMUI 3.1 Lite interface.

Huawei Mate 5S is available in two colour variants including Gold and Silver. It is priced at CNY 1,199 (Rs 12,000 approx.) and will go on sale in China starting December 10th. However a pre-booking facility by paying CNY 99 (Rs 999 approx.) is already available.
