Huawei may have recently launched their Mate 7S at the IFA this year, but that doesn't stop the company from launching the next generation of the Mate series aka Mate 8.
Today the Chinese smartphone maker shared a teaser on Weibo hinting an imminent launch of their upcoming device dubbed the Mate 8. Apparently the device is slated to be announced on 26th of November.
Just like its predecessor the Huawei Mate 8 is tipped to feature 6 inch display. However it is expected that Huawei will indeed a QHD panel on the inside. There's still a possibility of seeing the Full HD panel being carried across.
Nevertheless one thing is for sure that the Mate 8 will feature the Force Touch panel as seen in the existing Mate 7S. Rather Huawei is expected to garner the software that will make this Force Touch feature come in handy.
As per reports the Huawei Mate 8 will feature a Kirin 950 octa core SoC using big.LITTE architecture (4 x A72 + 4 x A53 cores). This is coupled with a Mali T880 GPU and 3GB/4GB of RAM. Apparently the Kirin 950 SoC is scheduled to be announced on November 5th in China.
Further leaked images coming from the company's factory in China shows that the Mate 8 comes with a metal frame along with a Hybrid SIM slot. One of the leaked images also show a round fingerprint sensor placed below the camera.
The rest of rumored specifications include 32GB of internal storage (ROM), 20MP AF rear camera and 8MP front facing selfie snapper.
Tipsters hint at a leaked price of 3299 Yuan (Rs 33,000 approx.) for the 3GB version while the 4GB variant will come much higher 3899 Yuan (Rs 39,000 approx.)
