Huawei first launched the P9 smartphone back in April at an event held in London. Since then the company has sold 1.4million units of the phone already. After a few months of its global unveiling, the company launched the phone in India on August 17.

Speaking of its dual-camera, the Huawei P9 smartphone boast a 12MP dual camera set-up, which employs Leica SUMMARIT H 1:2.2/27 aspherical lens & 1.25-micron pixels promising the users with amazing image quality in low light conditions.

The company also lets user to adjust the display setting to make it cooler or warmer as per their preference. It has preset options - Default, Warm and Cold, and user can add specific color tints to the display using the color circle adjustment panel.

Speaking of the processor, the Huawei P9 is powered by in-house HiSilicon Kirin 955 octa-core chipset with four Cortex A73 cores clocked at up to 2.5GHz and four Cortex A53 cores clocked at up to 1.5GHz.

The chipset is supported with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage to ensure smooth performance of the phone. The chipset is pretty powerful to take care of multitasking, and heavy apps with ease. Moreover, it is battery efficient to keep the phone running for longer.

Easy to operate

The Huawei P9 is brings Android Marshmallow on board, topped with the company's native Emotion UI. The good part is that the phone brings useful and user friendly customizations and feature additions.

For example, instead of physical navigation buttons, it has alternate navigational keys with a floating dock that can be positioned anywhere on the screen. It can be enabled from settings. Also, there is a small circle on the side of the screen that can be dragged out and placed anywhere.

The circle features on-screen Home, Back and Multitasking buttons and the shortcuts to turn off the screen and clear the apps that run in the background as well.

Moreover, the phone lets you open an app by tapping on the display with your knuckle and drawing the corresponding initial letter. It is a unique feature that can be enabled in the motion control option in settings.
