The company invests heavily on its R&D center, and has touted its yearly research and development budget to be equivalent to 10 percent of its revenue, which is proportionally higher than many of its rivals in the industry.

According to the statistics, in 2015, Huawei invested a massive sum of $9.2 billion, which is roughly 15% of its sales revenue, into the R&D of new technology, new products and wireless communication standards.
