LAVA today announced the roll out of Android Lollipop 5.1 update for its recently launched Iris Atom 2 smartphone. The Iris Atom 2 is available at Rs. 4444 and is amongst the first of few in the industry to offer Lollipop 5.1 in this price segment.

Powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor, Iris atom 2 is a stylish and slim smartphone with segment leading features that deliver a great overall experience. It has a 8 GB internal memory to store music, apps and pictures - expandable upto 32 GB. It offers strong standby support with a 1750 mAh Li-ion battery.

Lava has rolled out Android Lollipop 5.1 upgrade as Firmware over the Air (FOTA). The upgrade will improve the android experience for consumers with more responsive and interactive visual elements for easier navigation. Other new features include an enhanced notification system, Smart Lock and battery saver mode.

In comparison to Android Kit Kat, Android Lollipop 5.1 offers impressive customization options and enhanced security features.The smartphone is available in two-colour variants, White and Black across all national retail stores, multi-brand outlets and online platforms.
