Lava Iris Atom 2X with 4.5 inch display, Android 5.1 launched at Rs 4,499
Lava has launched a new budget phone dubbed the Iris Atom 2X in India. The 4.5 inch smartphone which is a part of the Iris series of smartphones of the company runs on Android Lollipop 5.1.
The Lava Iris Atom 2X is powered with a 1.3GHz quad core SoC and 1GB of RAM. On the front of the Iris Atom is a 4.5 inch FWVGA (854x480p) display along with a VGA (0.3MP) front camera. In terms of storage the device comes with 8GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded to 32GB via MicroSD card. The device made entirely out of polycarbonate sports a 5MP rear camera which is further equipped a LED Flash.

As per the company statement the Iris Atom X2 measures a 134 x 66 x 9.15mm and weighs up at 132g. In terms of connectivity the Lava Iris features a Bluetooth, A-GPS, WiFi b/g/n, 3.5 mm Audio jack and 3G HSPA+ support. The device is powered by a 2000mAh Li-Ion battery.
The Lava Iris Atom 2X comes in two colour variants - White and Black - and is priced at Rs 4,499. The device is now available via e-commerce website and retailers across India. Earlier today another homegrown manufacturer Intex launched a new budget phone dubbed the Aqua Air.
