Lenovo's Latest Smartphone Offers a Massive Screen for Less Money!
Lenovo finally took the wraps off a new big screen smartphone-tablet hybrid in India. Dubbed the Lenovo Phab, the product was first unveiled at IFA 2015. It has been priced at Rs. 11,999, which is one of the most appealing and competitive price segment, and is available exclusively on Flipkart.
Speaking of its features and specifications, the new Phab is essentially a toned down version of the Phab Plus that got launched in India in October last year for a price of Rs. 20,990. This lite variant of the Phab Plus flaunts a 6.98-inch HD IPS display with 720x1280 pixel resolution, whereas the Plus variant features a higher resolution display of Full HD quality.
As for the hardware, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC clocking at 1.2GHz, and coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage. The Phab Plus, on the other hand, boasts an octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Phab supports microSD card with up to 64GB capacity.
In the camera department, the specifications look same in both devices. The Phab features a 13MP primary autofocus camera with flash, and a 5MP front-facing snapper, and so does the Phab Plus.
The Lenovo Phab runs Android 5.1 Lollipop topped with company's native UI that brings extra features and customizations. In terms of wireless connectivity, the Lenovo Phab supports 4G LTE, dual-SIM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, and microUSB. It is powered by a 4250mAh battery that as per company claims can deliver up to 24 hours of talk time, and up to 20 days of standby time. An additional feature to take note of is the presence of Dolby Atmos audio technology, which should offer good audio experience to the users.
The Lenovo Phab is available in Tuxedo Black colour variant in India, and there is no word on whether the company will come up with other colour variants that included Polar White, Aqua Blue, and Cherry Red, which it had launched internationally.
