Lenovo Vibe K5 Note launch set for July 20, to take on Le2 and Redmi Note 3

Lenovo is gearing up to unveil its new 'Vibe K Note' series smartphone in India. The coming revealed the launch date information of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note smartphone on its Twitter account, where it mentioned that the phone will be official five days later, on July 20 in India.

The upcoming Lenovo Vibe K5 Note smartphone is the successor to the K4 Note, which was launched in the beginning of this year. Considering that the K5 Note was introduced in China in January, its specifications and feature details are known already. Here is a specs recap:

Specifications and features:

Lenovo K5 Note flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Heli P10 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded further up to 128GB using microSD card. In comparison, LeEco Le2 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 offer 3GB of RAM in this price range.

Back in January, the phone was launched with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system on board, however considering that K4 Note recently started receiving Android Marshmallow update, Lenovo might launch the Indian version with Marshmallow on board.

In the camera department, the smartphone features a 13MP rear snapper with dual tone LED flash, and an 8MP front-facing camera. The phone supports 4G LTE network, and offer other standard features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It is a dual-SIM smartphone with nano SIM support. To power up the device, there is a 3,500mAh battery under the hood.

Other noteworthy features in the phone include a fingerprint sensor for better security, and Dolby Atmos for enhanced audio experience.

Expected pricing detail:

The Lenovo K5 Note was launched in China for a price of $167, which translates to close to Rs 11,200. Also, the company is likely to bundle the ANT VR headset along with the K5 Note, which it first launched with K4 Note back in January in India.

The K5 Note will be available in Golden and Silver colour options, though you might get a Wooden Edition of the phone, just like the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Wooden Edition that got launched recently for Rs 11,499.
