LG G5 sketch reveals a new design for its LG G Series – No rear Volume controls

LG seems to have tweaked a new design for its upcoming and new LG G5 flagship handset. A new leak tipped by Shai Mizrachi confirms that LG G-series flagship will feature a new design from now on.

The new rumor reveals that there is a departure from the older design of the LG G series. The new rumor also confirms that the LG G5 will have a thinner, taller and a wider body than the current G-series flagship. The LG G4 will continue to have a power button on the rear like all LG G Series phones. However, the Volume controls will now be on the side similar to the volume controls seen on other Android phones.

The new rumors suggest that the LG G series will feature an all metal build - first for the LG G-series. One can expect a 5.6-inch display with a QHD resolution and the diagram of the smartphone from a reliable source confirms that. The diagram also suggests that the LG G5 could have a edge-to-edge display.The LG G5 will have a dimension of 149.4x73.9x8.2mm. A fingerprint scanner is also likely for the LG G5 similar to Nexus handsets.

There is no word on the specifications that the LG G5 could sport. However, there LG has confirmed that the LG G5 will be announced on February 21st at Barcelona. There is more to come on the LG G5 phone before it gets launched. The LG G4 was one hell of a smartphone and LG set a new standard with the LG V10. While LG doesn't have the market share of Samsung, it could be a threat to Samsung in the long run.

The new leak should be taken with a pinch of salt. The degree of truth to the leaks remains unknown. However, the diagram suggests a new design for LG and its flagship handsets.
