A few weeks back a reputed tipster @evleaks had confirmed that the Korean electronics giant is working on an entry level device dubbed the LG K7. A new report has now leaked the specifications of the alleged device.

The LG K7 reportedly sports a model number of M1 and comes with lower end specs. The report states the alleged handset will feature a 5 inch FWVGA (854x480p) display upfront along. Under the hood of the LG K7 will be a 64 bit enabled Snapdragon 210 quad core SoC with cores clocked at 1.1GHz each. This will be coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM.

Apparently 1.5GB RAM capacity is generally widely adopted solely by Samsung for their budget device, hence it is a bit surprising to see LG follow the trend of its fierce competitor.

In terms of storage the LG K7 is reported to come with 8GB of internal memory along with an option for memory expansion via MicroSD card slot. Furthermore it is reported to sport a 5MP rear camera along with a front facing selfie snapper of unknown resolution.

The report states that the LG K7 launch initially in US via multiple carriers early next year. However LG is expect to bring the smartphone to foreign markets soon enough. LG's marketing policy of launching a smartphone initially in US and then bringing it to foreign shores has been in the past, especially in the case of LG V10 and LG Zero. No words regarding the pricing of the device has been revealed as of yet.
