Meizu M2 budget smartphone announced, features 13MP Camera, 2GB RAM

Zhuhai based Meizu Technology, today announced the launch of the Meizu m1 at an event in China. Dubbed as M2, this device comes with 4G connectivity, polycarbonate unibody design and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with FlyMe OS on top.

Meizu M2, sports a 5-inch HD display with 1000:1 contrast ratio and 1280 x 720 pixels along with AGC Dragon trail glass protection. It is clocked at 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali-T720 GPU besides 2GB RAM under the hood.

On the storage front, this device houses 16GB of native storage, with an expansion option of up to 128GB via microSD card slot. In terms of software, this M2 is shipped with Android 5.1 Lollipop with FlyMe OS 4.5.

Moving to the camera, M2 features a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5p lens, Gorilla Glass 3 protective lens glass, 5MP front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture, 4p lens.

This device supports connectivity options such as 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS and powered by a 2500mAh battery.

Moreover, the Meizu M2 comes in White, Grey, Blue and Pink color variants at a price of 599 Chinese Yuan (approx Rs. 6,160). It is now available for pre-order in China starting from today and will go on sale from August 3rd in the country.
