Micromax Launches Canvas Hue 2 with Octa-Core SoC, 5MP Selfie Shooter
Micromax has launched a new smartphone Canvas series smartphone, the Canvas Hue 2, with no announcement information from the company about the launch so far. The smartphone is now on sale with an e-commerce website at Rs. 11,736.

A Facebook post by a Mumbai-based distributor has also claimed that the Canvas Hue 2 will be launched in retail stores, according to the Facebook post, the handset has been priced at Rs 12,499 for MOP, while Rs. 17,999 for MRP price.

The Canvas Hue 2 sports a 5-inch HD AMOLED display at 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, and supports dual-SIM option. The handset is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. The smartphone has a 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded using microSD card up to 32GB. It holds a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel secondary camera. For connectivity, it comes with 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, MicroUSB and Bluetooth options. It comes with standard sensors such as accelerometer, magnetometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensors as well.

It packs a 2000mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 205 hours of standby time.
