Micromax Launches Canvas Sliver 5 with 4.8-inch Display, 4G Connectivity at Rs 17,999

After a long gap, Micromax has launched the company's slimmest smartphone under the Canvas line-up. Dubbed as Canvas Sliver 5, this smartphone is built with aircraft grade aluminum and supports 4G LTE support, Blue Glass Filter.

With a thickness of 5.1mm (end to end) and weighing a mere 97 grams, the Canvas Sliver 5 is the world's slimmest and lightest 4G smartphone. The company also recreated the Hugh Jackman aura with the announcement of their next television commercial.

According to the company, this device is the slimmest smartphone ever at 5.1mm thickness end-to-end without any bumps. It comes with pre-installed apps like Scandid, SwiftKey, Hotstar, Quikr, Cleanmaster, Snapdeal and many more.

Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 - Key Specifications

Micromax Canvas Sliver 5, sports a 4.8-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This slim device is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor besides 2GB DDR3 RAM.

Moving on to the storage capability, Canvas Sliver 5 is equipped with 16GB internal memory. In terms of software, Canvas Sliver 5 is shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Further on the imaging factor, it features 8MP rear camera with Sony IMX219 sensor, Blue Glass Filter, LED flash, 5MP front-facing camera. On the dimensions, it measures 5.1mm thickness and weighs around 97grams.

Moreover, it supports connectivity options such as 4G LTE/3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. At last, Canvas Sliver 5 is powered by a 2000mAh high-density Lithium Polymer battery and an intelligently optimized User Interface, which automatically enables 30% power saving for long lasting battery life.

Micromax Canvas Sliver 5 comes at a price tag of Rs. 17,999 and will be available on both online and offline retail stores from July 1 along with with a free 4G SIM and double data offer from Airtel which doubles the 4G data amount for any consumer activating the 4G SIM.

It's also worth mentioning that, the price of the device may reduce during the retail. However, the company also offers Onsite Care service which will pick up your phone for service and delivers within 7. days.
