Microsoft Lumia 550 with four different colors leaked in press render

Microsoft is all set to launch their series of Windows 10 Mobile devices at an event on October 6th in New York. Previously rumours suggested that the Redmond giant would only launch their duo of flagships dubbed the 950 and 950XL at the event. However far more recent leaks claim otherwise - in fact Microsoft is expected to arrive at the event with one if not two budget Windows devices.

Nevertheless there's already a few information regarding on the budget device to launch on the said date. Dubbed the Lumia 550, the device was spotted at in a listing by a Swiss retailer a few days back. And now we have yet another evidence regarding the presence of the Lumia 550 handset, as four press renders of the device touting four vibrant colours - white, red, blue and black - were spotted.

The Lumia 550 is expected to sport a 4.7 inch HD (1280x720) display along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC with cores clocked at 1.1GHz each. Add to that the presence of 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. Further the Lumia 550 is said to come with CAT.4 LTE support with network download speeds of up to 150Mbps, as well as 50Mbps for uploads.

The camera on the back is expected to be a 8MP along with a 5MP on the front. However there's some discrepancy here as some leaks indicate at a 5MP rear and 2MP front. Further in case you were unaware the budget Lumia device had been imported to India a few months back for testing purposes, so expect Microsoft to roll it to India as soon as it ends its launch event on October 6th.
