Microsoft Lumia 950 And 950XL: Iris Scanner, 20MP PureView Camera [Rumor Roundup]

Last week, Microsoft sent out media invites for their upcoming launch event scheduled on October 6th. As expected the Redmond giants will be launching its two new Lumia smartphones at the event.

The press invite also hints that- "We have some exciting news to share about Windows 10 devices". There is also a word on the background that Microsoft may unveil their Surface Pro 4 and an upgrade to the Microsoft band at the same event.

The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL are said to be packed with great specifications and will be running on the latest Windows 10 operating system. Here we have jotted down all the latest rumors leaks and specification about both smartphones. Take a look at the slider below to know more.

Design

Evan Blass on Twitter leaked a set of pictures showing both Lumia upcoming smartphones. The design were influenced by Nokia's earliest smartphone. The smaller version among the two devices is seen in black color with a chrome camera lens.

Display

The Lumia 950 is the smaller version among the two devices. It sports a 5.2 inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. While, the bigger Lumia 950XL flaunts a larger 5.7 inch display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels.

Camera

It is rumored that both Lumia smartphones will come with 20 megapixel PureView rear camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera.

Processor And RAM

It is rumored that the Lumia 950 will be powered by 64-bit, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset at hexa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. While, the Lumia 950XL will will reportedly have a more powerful octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset inside but paired with the same 3GB of RA.

Storage

It is rumored that both smartphone will have the same camera and internal memory. Both upcoming Lumia devices will be packed with 32GB of internal storage space and there is also an option to expand the memory using a microSD card.

Other Specs

It is rumored that both smartphone to come with Iris Scanner, USB Type-C, three LED flash and will be packed with 3000mAh battery with Qi Wireless fast charging feature.
