Moto E (2nd gen) siblings received Rs 1,000 price cut on Flipkart
In a bid to put an halt to the sale of the Xiaomi Redmi 2, Motorola has cut the prices of their budget offering viz. the Moto E (2nd gen) by a margin of Rs 1,000.

The Moto E is a Flipkart exclusive device that used to sell for a price tag of Rs 7,999 and Rs 6,999 for the 4G and the 3G variants respectively before the price cut. While the 4G variant possessed a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with Adreno 306 GPU, the 3G comes with a dated Snapdragon 200. Despite sporting a same SoC the 4G variant was priced Rs 2,000 higher than the Redmi 2, which led a number of probable customer shift their allegiance to the Shenzhen based company.

But thank god, Motorola realised this a gave both the variants on price cut. We are not sure whether this price cut is exclusive for a few days. The devices sold at the same price (after price cut) for a limited time before during the e-commerce giant's Big App Shopping day.
Flipkart is also offering an exchange value of upto Rs 2,000. There's something for the Airtel customer too as the company is bundling double data for select plans with the device.
The detailed specifications of the Moto E(2nd gen) is given below:
- 4.5 inch qHD (960x540) IPS LCD display
- 64 bit enabled 1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with Adreno 306 GPU (4G)/1.2 GHz quad core Qualcomm 200 with Adreno 302 GPU
- 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of storage
- Memory expansion via Micro SD card slot
- 5MP Auto Focus Rear camera capable of shooting HD (720p) videos
So if you are on a lookout for a budget device with a vanilla interface and quick updates then this the best time to lay your hands on the Moto E(2nd gen). But go with the Redmi 2 if camera is your priority.
