Nexus 5X vs Nexus 6P: Major Differences In New Nexus Smartphones
Following the global launch, the search engine giant Google has unveiled the the much anticipated new generation of Nexus smartphones: LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P in the Indian market.
Both devices were launched at an event in San Francisco last month. Moreover, this is the first time that Google has partnered with the Chinese handset company Huawei for a Nexus smartphone.

Speaking at the launch David Shapiro, Global Director of Chrome and Android Marketing at Google said, "India is now the fastest growing smartphone market in the world, and it's exciting to launch our newest Nexus phones here. We're looking forward to the Nexus 5X and 6P delivering premium experiences for Indian users, demonstrating what is possible when innovative hardware, thoughtful design, and the latest Android software all come together."

Display Size
The LG Nexus 5X is the smaller model among the both. It sports a 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, that translates to 424ppi pixel density and has 70 percent screen-to-body ratio. While, the bigger version Huawei Nexus 6P sports a larger display at 5.7 inch with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels at 518ppi pixel density and has 71.6 percent screen-to-body ratio.
Built and Design
The Nexus 5X is made of plastic and there is no shiny chrome accents, no slippery aluminum back. While, on the other hand, the Nexus 6P is the first-ever Nexus smartphone with metal-clad.
Processor
The LG Nexus 5X is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset (Quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 & dual-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57). While, the Nexus 6P houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (Quad-core 1.55 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A57).
RAM
The compact version Nexus 5X comes with 2GB of RAM and the Huawei Nexus 6P comes with 3GB of RAM.
Speakers
Huawei Nexus 6P comes with stereo front-firing speakers. But, the Nexus 5X has only one loudspeaker.
Storage Options
Both Nexus smartphones doesn't come with an option to expand memory using a microSD card. The Nexus 5X comes in two internal storage options: 16GB and 32GB. While, the Nexus 6P comes in three storage options 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.
Camera
Both Nexus device features a same primary camera powered by Sony IMX 377 sensor and both promises the same level of picture quality. Both flaunts 12.3 megapixel with laser autofocus, dual-tone LED flash. But, there is difference in front-facing camera. The Nexus 5X comes with 5 megapixel selfie shooter, while the Nexus 6P has an 8 megapixel front-facing camera.
Price
The LG Nexus 5X is priced at Rs 31,999 for 16GB variant and Rs 35,999 for 32GB, while Nexus 6P is available at Rs 39,999 for 32GB and Rs 42,999 for 64GB.
