Microsoft recently announced that we can expect a number of Lumia devices this year from the company. According to a new report there are two new budget Lumia devices in the making and so far we believe that these two devices are a part of that list.
Recently the Redmond giants announced that they are moving their focus from the budget and the midrange Lumia devices to the higher end devices. The budget Lumias will continue though thanks to their partners. And the recent leak on Geekbench suggest that only!
So far it looks that the device will come with a 4.2 inch (800x480) display and a quad core CPU. Since the GPU is mentioned as Adreno 305, we believe the CPU will be none other than the 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400. The camera will be 5MP unit but we still don't know whether it will be a fixed focus or an auto focus unit (we believe it will be a fixed focus one though).
The notable omission from the specification listing at Geek Bench is a front snapper! Looking at the specs we believe that the device will be priced quite competitively, probably under Rs 6,000 ($85 approx)
A few days ago another listing was spotted on the GeekBench though which hints at yet another budget device, if not a super budget! A quick look at the listed specs would make things more clear.
This device oddly sports a 3.8 inch display! I believe Geekbench have gone a little wrong here. I feel the display is a 4 inch one. The CPU is a dual core unit which I believe is Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 unit. The Snapdragon 200, a quite dated chip as on 2015 comes with two variants viz. a quad core and a dual core. But the Adreno 305 GPU mentioned in the listing keeps me guessing at what chip the device is using, as SD200 uses an Adreno 302 GPU. Nevertheless this device unlike the previous one sports a VGA front shooter!
There is word that both the devices namely the Nokia RM110 and ID313 will launch by the end of September. But to know the precise partner who is building the device one would have to wait for the launch event. I am specifically more interested to see the RM110 as the odd display size and the strange SoC has left my brain wondering! But let me know whether any of these devices excite you in the comments section below.
