Now Buy an OnePlus X without bothering about an Invite!
OnePlus has now announced their plans to make the OnePlus X completely invite-free. Surprisingly though a report by Gadgets360 claims that the invite-free 'scheme' is applicable for markets other than India.
Apparently the Taiwanese company claims that the invite-free sales for the device will proceed 'shortly' in the country. For those unware it is worth noting that OnePlus have failed to meet their invite-free announcement deadline a few times before, so they are seemingly doing justice to themselves by stating 'shortly'.

Carl Pei, Co-Founder OnePlus stated, "We're extremely excited to be making the OnePlus X invite-free more quickly this time around. With every device we release, we grow more mature and more adept at handling the demands and expectations of our community. We largely owe our success to your unrelenting support, so we hope that this development will make the process of purchasing your very own OnePlus X as smooth and effortless as it can possibly be."
After having been heavily criticized regarding the flawed Invite System for the OnePlus 2, the company was always trying to shed the baggage behind this their OnePlus X by conducting invite free weekly sales on Tuesday. Sadly, though these weekly sales weren't for the Indian consumers as they still required an India specific invite to buy the device.

However it's worth noting that the OnePlus 2 is already available invite-free in India. So it's expected that OnePlus will proceed with the invite-free sales for the OnePlus X in India in a matter of few weeks. Just to recall the OnePlus X comes in three variants - the Onyx, Champagne Gold and the Ceramic variant. Among these the Ceramic one is the costliest at Rs 22,999 while the other two costs Rs 16,999 respectively.
"Unlike its predecessor, the OnePlus 2 was invite-free approximately four months after its release. With the OnePlus X going invite-free in even less time, this is a trend that we mean to continue," added Pei.
In yet another happening OnePlus has now hiked the price of its 10,400 mAh power bank from $14.99 (Rs 974 approx.) to $19 (Rs 1,235). It's not yet confirmed whether this price hike is applicable for the Indian market too.
