Known for its rugged smartphones, Cat has launched the world's first smartphone with Thermal camera integrated. Dubbed as Cat S60, this device comes with the waterproof feature, which goes up to 5 meters in-depth under water for one hour. In this case, the user can click the photos under water also.
Moreover, this device can withstand drops onto concrete from up to 1.8 meters, and it's dustproof. Further, this device can be operated with wet fingers or gloves also.
Moving on, the Cat S60 sports a 4.7-inch HD multi-touch 540 nits display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 as GPU under the hood. Talking about the storage, this device is equipped with 3GB RAM, 32GB of inbuilt memory.
Incase of operating system, Cat S60 is shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Further, the Cat S60 flaunts a 13MP rear camera with dual LED Flash and thermal camera from FLIR. This thermal camera is used to detect the heat loss around windows and doors.
On the front, it has 5MP selfie camera on board. The connectivity option includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. This rugged smartphone is powered by a 3800mAh battery under the hood. This mobile will go for sale at a price of $599 (approx Rs. 41,055) later this year.
