The OnePlus 2 is one of the most awaited smartphones of the year considering that the company's previously launched OnePlus One changed the definition of a ‘budget' smartphone completely. Touted as the flagship killer, the phone was loaded with high-end specs but at a comparatively much lower price. The OnePlus 2 is also expected to be a beast in terms of specs and features.

OnePlus 2 is likely to be more premium than the One, and thus it might feature a metal frame.

However, the company CEO, Pete Lau, recently teased on Chinese social networking site, Weibo, that the upcoming smartphone will come with a full-metal design.

According to the rumors, the next flagship is said to sport either 5.5 inch or a 5.7 inch display. However, it is more likely that the smartphone will come with the same screen size of the current smartphone.

The current flagship OnePlus One smartphone comes with 64GB internal storage and there is no option to expand memory. However, it is expected that the OnePlus 2 will come in two storage models: one with 64GB and another with higher 128GB. We would love to see a microSD card slot to expand storage.

The UI on the OnePlus One is notably a special one as it used CyanogenMod, which looks quite close to stock Android and also comes with more customization options. While, the next flagship will be powered by company's own UI called OxygenOS based on Android Lollipop.

This time, it is expected that the phone will be priced slightly higher than its predecessor, owning to the rumored better specs. However, according to some leaked information, the OnePlus 2 will be prices around $299 and $349 for 16GB and 32GB versions respectively.
