OnePlus One to receive price cut in India: 16GB variant at Rs 14,999?
After the launch of the OnePlus Two in India, the company is mulling to give a price cut to their last gen device in India. OnePlus Two is scheduled to launch on the 11th of August, 2015 on amazon.in priced at Rs 22,999 for the 16GB/3GB variant and Rs 24,999 for the 64GB/4GB variant.
The last generation OnePlus One also sells in India at a price which is very near to the one of its successor. Currently the device housing a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB of RAM sells at Rs 18,998 (16GB) and Rs 21,998 (64GB) in the three leading e-commerce website of the country.

The device had received a price cut in China though, and that's about three months back. But unfortunately that price cut didn't land up in India as of yet. The OnePlus One (16GB) now sells in China at a price of just Rs 14,999/ 1499 Yuan.
Finally the company is contemplating an Indian price cut! I guess they would place the devices at the same price bracket of the Xiaomi Mi4. The Mi4 was the chief competitor to the OnePlus One when the device launched in India. Despite selling at Rs 21,999 (16GB) and Rs 23,999 (64GB), the company recently gave a price cut to both the variants, thereby pricing them at Rs 14,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.
And it goes without saying that the 16GB Mi4 at that price was a hit - it is still going off shelves at rate beyond the company's imagination. So I believe that OnePlus will place their device neck on neck with it, in a bid to enjoy a share of the continually rising sales no!
In the meanwhile, potential buyers may think of a possible option to buy an unboxed or refurbished unit from Valuecart.com. The 64GB variant is now available there at just Rs 15,999 but you would need to pre-register for the sale.
